The ministry of Sound Choices is accomplished through volunteers who commit to spend one 3-hour shift per week serving at Sound Choices. Training is provided for each volunteer position, and no previous experience is required.

Volunteer Training Classes

Training is available for the following positions: receptionist, patient advocate, data entry clerk, discipleship leader, parenting class teacher, or church liaison. Once you have completed and returned your volunteer application, we will let you know when trainings are scheduled. 

Patient Advocates

Patient advocates are trained to assist women who come to Sound Choices seeking information, pregnancy confirmation, and advice.

Some of our patient advocates choose to serve because they have a unique testimony of a crisis pregnancy in their own life, while many others choose to serve as an advocate simply because they desire to be a listening ear, provide Godly guidance and support, and share Christ’s love with women in need. Most of our patient advocates come to us without any previous experience…only a desire to serve. 

Receptionist

Receptionists are trained to answer phones, make appointments, and instruct patients on how to fill out initial paperwork. They are the first face a patient sees when she walk through the door! Receptionists are vital to a patient’s first impression of the services she will receive at Sound Choices. No experience necessary!

Data Entry Clerk

Data entry clerks are trained to input information written on patients’ forms into the patient database. If you want to get involved at Sound Choices, but do not feel ready to be a patient advocate or receptionist, this position is perfect for you. Training is provided, and data entry clerks are greatly needed!

Prayer Partner

If you cannot commit to serving a shift at Sound Choices each week, you can still be involved in this life-saving work. We need prayer partners! Please email info@soundchoicespc.org and ask to be added to the prayer team.

Parenting Class Teacher

Parenting Class teachers facilitate one class per week. Sound Choices has a very simple class curriculum to follow, making this a job that does not require any unique teaching skills. What IS required is a desire to mentor and share Christ’s love with the students. If you are a mom who knows Christ, you can teach this class!

Church Liaison

Sound Choices desires to have one person in each local church who is responsible for informing the church about the needs, events, and services of Sound Choices. This is a VERY important job, as statistics show that the abortion rate is the same inside the church as it is outside the church! Church liaisons are also responsible for heading up the annual Baby Bottle Boomerang at their church.
